TenBy: Gretchen McNeil
Genres: Dystopian, Mystery, and Romance For Ages: 14+ When Meg Pritchard and her best friend Minnie are invited to a top-secret house party on a secluded island, they jump at the chance of attending the party of a lifetime. But soon after they arrive, teens start dying. Accidents, of course. Or are they? "Ten teens. Three days. One killer." This book gave me shivers, from both the murders, and the sweet romance. I liked this book because as creepy as it was, the killer's motive came from a pretty unique situation, so it's not like you walk around jumping at sudden noises for a week afterwards because you think he's after you next or something like that. I feel like the plot was very well constructed, however the style of writing felt a bit stereotypical to teen culture. That being said, the characters are all very dynamic, and the story is still thrilling no matter how many times I read it. I am definitely looking into more murder mysteries for future reads. I would rate this book: A Great Read 4 Stars: * * * * |
