StrangeletsBy: Michelle Gagnon
Genres: Adventure, Dystopian, Mystery, Romance and Sci-fi For Ages: 12 - 14 Six teens are on the brink of death when they are whisked away to a hospital on Long Island with no food and no other people. When they open its doors, they find a world completely different than they remember, with vicious predators dominating the food chain. If they don't pry the secrets from the strange planet that they once called home, they could be eaten, or worse. Because something else lives among the teens, something with dangerous powers. Will the teens survive their second chance at life? This book was really intriguing in the beginning, but I slowly lost interest. Most of the plot and characters are not explained until the end, so I started to get bored. The resolution is also way too easy, and the ending leaves a lot of loose ends. If you are into post-apocalyptic sci-fi though, then this could be a book for you. I would rate this book: An OK Read 2 Stars * * |
