Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's LibraryBy: Chris Grabenstein
Genres: Mystery For Ages: 8 - 13 Kyle Keeley is twelve years old and has yet to experience a public library. One day, he learns that the world famous game maker, Mr. Lemoncello, has designed the town's new library and has invited a few lucky twelve year olds to sleepover the night before opening day. Kyle soon learns that the library is filled with more than just books. Finding puzzles and clues in every corner, Kyle races to win this competition of a lifetime. Although the conflict in this book was not as big or problematic as in other books, it was still chock full of suspense. This made it fun to read because the characters were free to enjoy themselves without the worry and anxiety that comes with a serious problem. What I loved most about this book was that Kyle was an average kid but through his own determination accomplished many things. The only thing I disliked was that the way the author dealt with eliminating some of the characters was not very creative. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a fun and entertaining read. I would rate this book: A Must Read 4.5 Stars: * * * * .5 |
