Confessions of a Murder Suspect (Book 1)By: James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
Genres: Dystopian and Mystery For Ages: 14 - 16 Tandy Angel, like all other members in her family, is special. Super smart, and with a unique talent for blocking out emotions. But when police come to their door late one night on suspicion of murder and find her parents dead in their beds, even Tandy is upset. She is determined to uncover the mystery behind her parents' strange death, but she knows that everyone in the Angel family could be a suspect. Including herself. This book was interesting because all of the characters (let's just call them all suspects, shall we?) could have committed the murder, and no one is completely ruled out until the resolution of the novel. Tandy is an unreliable narrator because she doesn't always tell the reader anything when it is needed, but that element adds a lot of suspense to the novel. Interesting take on the flip-side of being gifted. If you need a new perspective then this book is for you. I would rate this book: Great Read 4.5 Stars: * * * * .5 |
